What laminate ranges does Eco Flooring carry?
Eco Flooring offers two main laminate brands, each with distinct design directions:
Villeroy and Boch: A premium German-engineered range known for its exceptional quality and sophisticated design. Available in four collections covering heritage, country, cosmopolitan, and contemporary aesthetics, each capturing a different timber character and interior style.
Swish Laminate: A practical, high-performance range available in two options. Swish Laminate Bespoke offers a broad selection of classic and modern timber looks, while Swish Laminate Aqua provides added moisture resistance, making it suitable for areas with occasional water exposure.
What do I need to know before installation?
Subfloor Preparation: The subfloor must be clean, dry, and level. Any significant undulations should be corrected before laying to ensure a stable, even result.
Expansion Gaps: A minimum 10mm expansion gap is required around all perimeter walls and fixed objects to allow for natural movement with temperature changes.
Acclimatisation: Allow the flooring to sit in the installation environment for at least 48 hours before laying so the boards can adjust to the ambient temperature and humidity.
Underlay: A suitable underlay is required beneath laminate flooring for cushioning, acoustic performance, and moisture protection. On concrete subfloors, a combined underlay and DPC film is recommended.
Wet Areas: Standard laminate flooring is not suitable for fully wet areas such as bathrooms or laundries. For these spaces, Swish Laminate Aqua or hybrid flooring is a better option.
