What do I need to know before installation?
Subfloor Preparation: The subfloor must be smooth, flat, and free of debris. Any high points, dips, or irregularities should be corrected beforehand, as looselay vinyl will telegraph subfloor imperfections more readily than thicker flooring systems.
Expansion Gaps: A minimum expansion gap is required around all perimeter walls and fixed objects to allow for any minor thermal movement.
Temperature Stability: Looselay vinyl performs best in temperature-controlled environments. In rooms with significant direct sun exposure, window coverings may be advisable to reduce heat build-up on the floor surface.
Existing Floor Coverings: Ornato Luxury can be installed over existing hard floors such as tiles or timber provided the surface is flat and in good condition. Carpet must be removed before laying.
